We need people and activities to film!
We will be making documentary style videos, we are keen to make a permanent record what is going on in West Somerset (especially on the railway) and to publish our videos on YouTube a national audience.
With this in mind we need subjects to film, so if you are or know anybody who does something and wouldn't mind being filmed and talking to us about what they are doing and how they came to do it then please let us know.
The subject wouldn't need to talk on camera if they didn't want to, the talking can be recorded separately and (after editing out all the 'ums', pauses and false starts) be the sound track for the video we would shoot of them doing the thing that they do.
Almost anything can yield a video, whatever it is it could well be of interest to someone else.
We would love to make videos about, for instance, the behind-the-scenes aspects of running the railway, everything from running a refreshments unit to track repairs to being a guard to firing up a steam engine from cold etc etc etc.
And it doesn't have to be railway-related. For instance, if you run a small business, may we make a video of you doing what you do? You would be able to approve it before it was published, and you could embed the video on your website.
